390 WILLIAMS SELYEM PINOT NOIR, 2007 115

Weir Vineyard, Yorkville Highlands

Aromas of ripe Bing cherries, sweet herbs, rose water, earth and minerals dominate
the bouquet entirely in this vintage.  Concentrated flavors of cherries, strawberry, and
cola are complemented by the rich, extracted grape and oak tannin in the finish.  The
2007 is much more complex than past vintages.   As this vineyard continues to
mature, it is finally showing its true expression of the unique terroir of the site.

Ferrington Vineyard,
Anderson Valley

Intense maraschino cherries, wild raspberries, chocolate and spice best describe the
aromas of this vintage.  Racy cherry flavors and rich, fat tannins fill you mouth along
with black truffle in the finish.  A very fruit-driven wine that exhibits great weight in the
mouth and finishes long and rich.  The extracted tannin will soften with several years of
patient cellaring.

Bucher Vineyard,
Russian River Valley

The aromas of ripe Bing cherries, roses, cola and mocha lift from your glass.
Concentrated flavors of maraschino cherries, strawberry cola, Asian spices and forest
floor are complemented by the sweet and creamy grape tannin in the finish.  The thin
hillside soils from this ranch have added a vast amount of strength and complexity to
this wine.

Vista Verde Vineyard,
San Benito County

Ripened aromas of wild cherries, rose petals, violets, mocha, minerals and exotic
spice come through the nose of this wine.  It shows richer and broader tannins than
the 2006 version, with better overall concentration and depth of fruit.  Sweet red fruits,
notes of earth and a long, lingering finish complete this wine.

Flax Vineyard,
Russian River Valley

Blackberry, boysenberry, plum, cola and mushroom aromas come to life in the glass.
Rich fat and broad tannins harmonize the focus of berry and spicy flavors. Intense
lack fruit and spicy flavors develop nicely across your palate.

425 TURLEY ZINFANDEL 100

Rattlesnake Ridge, Howell Mountain, 2004

Good red-ruby.  Slightly roasted nose shows a port-like aspect.  Fat, lush and a bit
heavy, although the plum and dark berry flavors show reasonable definition.  Finishes
with building tannins and good but not outstanding length.

Juvenile, Paso Robles, 2005

Moderately saturated medium ruby.  Red cherry, pepper and spice on the nose.
Fresh and juicy in the mouth, with a light touch to the red fruit and spice flavors.  A
very fresh style of zinfandel with good intensity and length.

Old Vines, California, 2005

Good deep red-ruby color.  Ripe aromas of raspberry and dark chocolate.  Super ripe,
broad and sweet, with slightly high-toned, expressive flavors of raspberry and
chocolate.  Finishes with dusty, fine tannins and considerable fat.

Dusi Vineyard, Paso Robles, 2004

Good full ruby.  Aromas of black raspberry, blackberry, espresso and pepper show an
almost liqueur-like ripeness.  Fat, velvety and broad, with very ripe flavors of roasted
fruits and licorice. A saline character contributes to the wine’s impression of
thickness.  Not hugely fruity, but finishes with sweet tannins and excellent length.

Juvenile Vineyards, California, 2004

Medium red-ruby.  Dark berries lifted by black pepper on the nose.  Juicy, pliant and
flavorful, with berry and spice flavors.  Finishes with a slightly roasted, chocolaty
character.

Dragon Vineyards, Howell Mountain, 2004

Deep red with ruby highlights.  Enticing aromas of raspberry liqueur and cracked
pepper.  Creamy, fat and sweet, with a distinctly liqueur-like character complicated by
a whiff of meat.  Next to the comparatively ethereal Rattlesnake Ridge zin, this is
distinctly richer and a bit chunkier-not to mention riper and larger-scaled.

Duarte Vineyards,
Contra Costa County, 2005

Deep ruby-red.  Aromas of dark berry liqueur, dark chocolate, menthol and pepper.
Fat and silky if a bit aggressive with alcohol; slightly roasted flavors of black berry and
licorice.  More savory than sweet, with the fruit flavors showing a distinct hot-year
character.   Finishes with a note of chocolate.

430 NICKEL & NICKEL CABERNET SAUVIGNON, 2006 100

Copper Streak Vineyard, Stags Leap District

The 2006 Copper Streak is an incredibly rich wine.  Berry and currant present on the
palate with an underlying sweetness from earth, herb and black tea.  The texture of
this wine expands on the palate as the soft, yet opulent, tannins melt into a long
lingering finish.  This is a wine that one can enjoy now, or, cellar for many years and
watch the flavors as they continue to evolve and develop.

Vogt Vineyard,
Howell Mountain

This 2006 Vogt Cabernet Sauvignon was made in both open-and closed-top tanks,
which produced a wine with great concentration.  The dark fruit flavors of berry and
cassis are intensified by some natural floral and spice nuances.  The palate is rich and
coating with an intensity that comes from low-production, hillside fruit.  Toasty oak
integrates will with the firm yet polished tannins that, although approachable now, will
resolve with some time in the bottle.

State Ranch, Yountville

Perfumed with aromas of ripe berries, this wine has sweet flavors of chocolate and
spice wrapped around a rich fruit core of blackberry and cassis.  The intensity of flavor
as well as the layering mouthfeel have developed into an impressive structure over
time.  The wine is juicy and silky with a sweet core of tannin that delivers the fruit
through a nice lengthy finish.

Rock Cairn Vineyard,
Oakville

The 2006 Rock Cairn Cabernet Sauvignon’s complexity has changed throughout its
time in the barrel and continues to develop new flavors with age.  This wine has a nice
core of black cherry fruit, licorice and herb mixed with a sweet spice and cola that
provides layers of flavor.  The palate has great concentration and depth and the fruit
flavors linger due to the fleshy tannins.  The overall balance between fruit and earth in
this wine will only integrate and evolve with a little time in the bottle.

John C. Sullenger, Oakville

The wine has an ultra-ripe fruit expression, similar to other classic Oakville Cabernets.
The signature of this vineyard remains constant, with cherry and black cherry fruits
layered with sweet herb, spice and cedar from the oak.  Rich and coating, the
mouthfeel of the 2006 is similar to the 2005 vintage.  The middle palate is sweet and
plush and the medley of flavors progress into a long, lingering finish.

C. C. Ranch, Rutherford

C. C. Ranch Cabernet offers a unique combination of floral and fruit, sweet flavors of
black cherry and white blossoms, mixed with layers of earth and tar.  The distinctive
“Rutherford Dust” character, combined with the spice and toast from the oak, offers
awonderful complement to the floral fruit.  The full, thick texture, classic of wines from
the Rutherford area, expands on the middle palate and the soft tannins melt away into
a long, pleasant finish.
