Billy's Boston Chowder House a Seafood in Los Gatos

In 2010 two friends got together to open an authentic New England seafood chowder house; Bill Reynolds (Boston trained Chef) and Lance Wagner (owner of Little Lou’s BBQ).

Billy’s Boston Chowder House is like so many seaside restaurants known by the locals as their favorite family seafood eatery. More than a clam shack or lobster pound but a full service seafood restaurant. The essence of great New England Chowder House is not about elegance, it is about quality ingredients simply prepared so the natural flavor of seafood and fresh vegetables take center stage. It’s about the love of the sea and respect for each ingredient and the role they play. Billy’s Boston Chowder House serves both old and new friends from Boston and the Bay Area who have hearty sea lover appetites in search for traditional Yankee faire.

Our inspiration for Billy’s Boston Chowder House started with Billy growing up in the Boston area, living his summers in Maine, frequently visiting the boardwalks and seaside summer shacks up and down the coast. Feasting on lobster rolls, New England clambakes, fresh haddock, chowda, fried Ipswich whole belly clams and crispy onion rings. At the shore, we all ate like kings!

Lance Wagner’s passion for seafood grew from managing three Chart House Restaurants in the bay area before opening Little Lou’s BBQ. A devote Red Sox fan from the bay area who frequently visits Boston to see his beloved Red Sox at Fenway and feast on great New England seafood.
