About The Owners

Evan and Candice have lived in beautiful South Lake Tahoe, California for 40 years. Between the two of them they have a combined total of 75 years in the restaurant business. Evan has been a wine buyer since 1978, a professional wine judge since the late eighties (credentialed by UC Davis) and has judged the California State Fair since 2001. In the early days of the restaurant, he even worked as the Chef! Candice was by his side in the kitchen daily, preparing many of our signature desserts from scratch. A true family operation!

They enjoy skiing, sailing, golf, cooking, reading and sampling fine wines. A recent addition to the family, a puppy named Maggie, has stolen their hearts and also keeps them quite busy with walks and cleaning up dog toys!
