On behalf of my family, and our staff, I'd like to welcome you to Il Forno Classico restaurant.

We have also owned and operated Pizzeria Classico in Historic Folsom since [+]1985.

We are a family owned business that is deeply involved in and supports surrounding communities. Through the years we have donated to countless schools, churches, and organizations. The friendships we have encountered and embraced are priceless. Our current and past employees have had the pleasure to know and help achieve their goals, as they have helped us with our goals. It is our passion and commitment that drive us to constantly improve.

My (owner Scotty Litteral’s) grandfather was in the bar and restaurant business. When my father and mother were very young in the 70s they started a chain of hot dog restaurants in the Bay Area. But all the fun really started when we opened Pennypacker’s Cookie store in The Boatworks Shopping Center in Tahoe City. Since 1981, we have built, opened, and operated 14 restaurants.

We have had the fortune of expanding Il Forno Classico two times in the more than two decades at our location in Gold River, including the addition of a private dining room and wine room and shop. Besides a fully stocked bar we have a wine store that houses about 600 different wine labels. We offer very competitive pricing on wines to take home and some of the best wine pricing in restaurants, period. Show us a restaurant wine list with a better price for the same wine and vintage and we will match it.

Year after year we have attained the Wine Spectator Award for friendly wine pricing.

Zinfandel California Cuisine - (Gold River) - Gold River CA -
The zinfandel grape, first planted in California in the late 1800s by Italian immigrants, are the genetic equivalent to the primativo grape in Puglia, Italy. Primativo wines are deeply colored, and intensely flavored, with a high alcohol content. It's California cousins, Zinfandels, are some of California's finest, most interesting and [+]most widely planted wines.

It is in the spirit and proud tradition of Zinfandel wine producers that we named our restaurant Zinfandel California Cuisine.

We offer a generous selection of freshly prepared menu items, including: soups and salads, wood-fired pizzas and calzones, sandwiches, burgers, fish, chicken, meats, pastas and desserts. And we have a full bar as well, along with a nice variety of wines. [-]
